25th October 2009 :: Royal British Legion Concert

The band were proud to take part in the Concert of Remembrance at Nantwich Civic Hall last Sunday evening, hosted by the Royal British Legion - Nantwich.
We have performed regularly at their concerts for many years now and this one seemed to be as well recieved as any other in the past.
A Drum Head service opened the event, given by the chaplin of the Cheshire Police Force, with the band playing in the standards to The British Legion March and closeing the service with a fitting performance of Nimrod by Elgar.

The second half got under way with something different - a lone piper !!! who gave a super display of his talent which was very well recieved by audience and band alike.

The band would like to thank the British Legion for its support over the years and particularly to Alan Richardson who planned the event. We all look forward to marching both in Holmes Chapel (am) and Nantwich (pm) on Sunday 8th November in their respective Remembrance Parades.
