20th September 2009 :: Formby Hall - Atherton

The Co-operative Band (Crewe) opened the 2009 Series of concerts at The Formby Hall -Atherton on Sunday Evening on TOP form.
Fresh from a concert in Stafford the night before the band seemed to cruise through a tough programme of lip busting concert items. The band played, Valero, Children of Sanchez, Cartoon Classics, Pastorale, Prayer from Hansel and Gretal as well as Paul Lovett-Cooper's Vitae Aturnum.
The concert goers of Atherton seemed very impressed and all went well with some fine playing again from our three soloists and band alike.

The band is in excellent form so here's to next weekends Stage and Screen concert in Bolsover's Post Mill Centre .This will require some stamina given it will be a new and very demanding programme compiled especially for the venue and organiser Carole Hirst.
